What is the difference between DT and TT?
Choose between DT or DT / TT printers. DT printers only print on DT paper. DT / TT printers use thermal transfer foil (ribbon ) and print on both DT materials and other different synthetic materials. DT stands for Direkt Termo. The printer prints directly (without foil) on eg DT paper (thermal paper) with black print intended for this technology, and on some treated PE and PP materials. TT stands for Thermal Transfer. In the same operation, the printer prints a durable black print on various label materials, such as paper, polyester or vinyl, using thermal transfer foil.
